So, currently, my short film is on hiatus. I cannot look at anything miniature, so I’m working on an Audrey painting. What else? Nothing, really, just waiting for college stuff and biding my time ‘til graduation.

So I’ve been thinking lately…dangerous, I know. Since Freshman year, I’ve planned on being a French major—I still do—but I think that even though I love it so much, it’s simply my more realistic money plan. The fact is this: I wanna make movies. More specifically, write and direct movies. None of this big time Hollywood jazz—indie movies, small time wins,...

Man Killed By Snuggie →
Okay, so I wanted a Snuggie for Christmas, because, let’s face it, how else can I be warm while reading a book or petting a cat? Anyway, I was poking around online and this is what I found.

My new favorite movie is (big surprise) one that I saw through Film Movement. A Norwegian movie, Hawaii, Oslo, shows the lives of a people on the hottest day of the year, and what brings them together. The movie is told through a series of vignettes—the center of which is a man, Vidar, who has prophetic dreams. It’s a wonderful story, and proof of what I always say; if you’re...

It was about a little girl obsessed with Chinese charms, a man who just lost his job, and a man who didn’t understand his son, but wanted his father to understand him. It sounds a little...

“Lorsque vous êtes allé, je vais être seule dans cette salle. Lorsque vous êtes allé, je vais brûler tous mes livres. Lorsque vous êtes allé, je vais sourire parce que je peux faire la différence … Quand il pleut, je vais mettre mon parapluie. Quand il pleut, je vais mettre la main. Quand il pleut, je vais sourire parce que je peux faire la différence.” That’s the song...

A video I made in Art and music I made on the computer. The video asks if the animals the girl meets on her way home are real or imaginary. Yes, that’s a Narwhal at the end.

Just finished Persepolis, about 2 hours ago. I’d seen the movie before, but I think I liked the graphic novel even more. I’d also recommend The Elegance of the Hedgehog, which has been translated from French, and is filled with wit and philosophy.
