2011 has been good to me. I transferred to my current university, my niece was born, I went to Paris, Hemingway and I became friends, and I now have an ukulele. In fact, this year has been fantastic, and I feel incredibly blessed.  Here’s to 2012! Let’s pray it’s even more fantasticallic!

Demain, dès l’aube, à l’heure où blanchit la campagne, Je partirai. Vois-tu, je sais que tu m’attends. J’irai par la forêt, j’irai par la montagne. Je ne puis demeurer loin de toi plus longtemps. For Paris is a moveable feast.”— Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast (I wouldn't be surprised if you've already seen this, but it reminded me of you so here it is. Happy Christmas!)

This is one of few photos I’ve seen of the two of them together, and I know few details about their relationship. I like to…

Be fancy. Even if your fancy is wearing a skirt on a Tuesday, or treating yourself to a flavored cup of coffee. Even if your fancy is sitting in the garden for five minutes. Be fancy. Today, be fancy.

Love, oh love, oh careless love, You fly though my head like wine You’ve wrecked the life Of many a poor girl And you nearly spoiled this life of mine Love, oh love, oh careless love, In your clutches of desire You’ve made me break a many true vow Then you set my very soul on fire Love, oh love, oh careless love, All my happiness bereft Cause you’ve filled my heart with weary old...
